DST Group presents Bobby Chinn

He's smelling the fish sauce, don't get any weird ideas please hehe.

“It took me a while to figure out that I was an ethnic mutt. Half Egyptian, half Chinese, born in New Zealand, educated primarily in England, with a sense that San Francisco was home. I was privileged to be brought up with two grandmothers who were both really great cooks. My Chinese grandmother was from Shanghai and made Chinese food that I had never tasted in any restaurant anywhere. She was cooking a “fusion” type of Chinese food back in the 50’s, substituting for ingredients that were not readily available in the U.S. at that time. Some how she made light sauces, greaseless noodles, and tastes that were entirely unique. My Egyptian grandmother cooked in all manners of North African food - she makes a wicked couscous, Bisteeya, and desserts that are highly addictive. Quite frankly, I do not remember ever having a bad meal until I arrived at boarding school in England.” - context taken from http://www.bobbychinn.com/en/meetbobby.htm

Ahh alas!! Hello again guys, its been a while since i updated my blog. Yesterday, Mr Bobby Chinn of Travel and Living Channel came to DST HQ and had a cooking show all the way up at level 12. The hall was filled with laughter the minute Bobby went up the stage and started cooking. He shared his personal experience
with the crowd as well as his cooking tips. This guy surely is an entertainer and a good chef, he has his own Bobby Chinn Restaurant in Vietnam, i hope one day he'll open up a chain here in our beloved country, Brunei Darussalam and get the chance to taste his cooking, but for now the only chance we get is to savour the moments from yesterday. Enjoy~ :-)
